Peshawari chappals use high-chrome leather, and complaints of cracking and peeling in high-chrome leather products typically arise within ten to twelve months. This issue can also occur if the chappals get wet. In other words, their lifespan is around ten to twelve months, especially if they are not used for several months. However, with proper care and regular use, their lifespan can extend up to one and a half to two years. It should be noted that this issue is not exclusive to Peshawari chappals made with high-chrome leather; even if you buy an expensive chappal from elsewhere, you should keep this in mind.
